About Waterview Baptist Church

Waterview Missionary Baptist Church became a reality for concerned Christians in Richardson on August 12, 1962 under the name of Richardson Missionary Baptist Mission. Bro. C. E. Patton was the missionary Pastor. Services were held in the McKamy Hall, which was named after T.S. McKamy who was elected the first mayor of Richardson in 1925, until property for the new church site could be purchased.

On March 10, 1963 the Mission gave Bro. Patton authority to sign a commitment for property at the current church site at 408 South Waterview. With the new site, the church chose a new name ... Waterview Missionary Baptist Church. On May 22, 1964 Waterview Missionary Baptist Church was formally organized with Bro. Patton unanimously called as her first pastor.

Today Waterview Baptist Church stands as a living testimony to the dedication of her members, both past and present, with a strong focus on reaching our changing community for Christ.
